Michelle Banks began her career in 1991 working for various architectural firms, a design-build firm, and a residential design firm before founding her own suburban Chicago residential design firm in 2004. She recently moved to St. Louis and is reestablishing her practice, Michelle Banks Interiors.
Michelle is president of the Missouri East Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). She has served as president of the Illinois chapter, on the board as its Professional Development Director, on the PR and Marketing committee, and was twice co-chair of the ASID Designer Showcase Houses. She is also a Leadership in Energy and Efficient Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and a National Council Interior Design Qualified (NCIDQ) certified interior designer.
A graduate of Mount Mary University, Michelle earned a bachelor of arts degree in interior design. She also holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Missouri.
