President's Letter - Kimberly Reuther

Dear ASID MO East Chapter Members,

I’m honored to step into the role of chapter president and look forward to an exciting year ahead with all of you. Together, we have a unique opportunity to shape our chapter’s impact and build a thriving community that supports all members, from students to seasoned professionals.

One of my main goals this year is to create a welcoming space for emerging professionals and recent graduates, helping you make meaningful connections and find mentorship within our chapter. Our focus will be on providing you with the resources to jumpstart your career, grow your skill set, and connect with industry leaders.

This year, we’re putting a strong focus on wellness in design and the WELL Building Standard. As interior designers, we have the unique opportunity to create spaces that not only look beautiful but also support the health and well-being of those who use them. Our chapter will be offering resources, events, and insights around wellness in design, empowering you to integrate these principles into your work.

As we continue to grow, we’re excited to expand our chapter’s focus in the commercial design sphere. Whether you’re passionate about commercial or residential design, we’re here to support you with resources and insights tailored to help you succeed in your specific career path.

To our student members and recent graduates, we invite you to get involved this year. Our chapter is committed to your growth and to fostering connections that will help you build confidence and credibility as you enter the field. We’ll be creating more opportunities to network with established professionals and mentors who can guide you as you begin your design journey.

This year, we’re especially excited about the Pinnacle Awards, which celebrate the very best in design within our chapter. We hope to see many of you participate, both as attendees and entrants. It’s a fantastic way to showcase your work, gain exposure, and celebrate alongside your peers.

We encourage all members to get involved in chapter activities, from events to volunteer opportunities. Your unique voice and participation are what make our chapter stronger and more dynamic. Whether you’re new to the industry or have years of experience, your contributions matter.

Thank you for being a part of our community. I look forward to a successful year together and can’t wait to see how each of you will make an impact. Let’s make this a year of growth, collaboration, and inspiration!
